How to Feel Fucking Successful and Stop Letting Everyone Down

Life can be messy and there's a lot of days where other things demand my attention.

This is frustrating because I want to feel like a fucking superstar everyday and knock off every single item on my to-do list but honestly that's not realistic.

So I've come up with a plan that I want to share with you all. This plan helps me to not feel like I'm a huge failure and letting everyone down.

The first thing I ask myself every morning is:

"What do I need to do to feel successful today?"

That puts the ball in my court that I am responsible for figuring out what I need to prioritize in order to feel good and productive.

Once I figure out that answer I then create my A-B-C-D-E to-do list.

I had a past coaching client share this list idea with me and it's been incredibly helpful.

A- things that need to get done and if they don't will have immediate consequences

B- things that need to get done but don't have immediate consequences

C- things that would feel nice to get done but aren't a huge priority

D- things to delegate to others

E- things to eliminate completely

Here's an example of my most recent list:

A- Pay my credit card bill

B- Sign my engagement letter to start working with my financial coach

C- Do the journal questions for the new moon and set my intentions for the month

D- Having my friend find an airbnb for us to stay at in Cusco, Peru

E- Emailing my list until I feel more on top of things

On the really messy days I allow myself to have an "A list only kind of day" and I focus on the things that would have immediate consequences and put everything else aside. I'm only one person and can only do so much and let's be honest - a lot of things in our life are not true emergencies so we have to stop treating them like they are.

I hope this helps you to start building your prioritizing skills (and yes it is a skill that needs to be learned) and feel really fucking successful every single day.

Does anyone use the A-B-C-D-E method and if not, what do you use to help you stay on top of things?
